PENRITH SHOW YOUNG WOMAN 2023

– PAIGE PETERS –

Miss Paige Peters: A Passionate Advocate for Agriculture and the Show Movement

From the tender age of two, Miss Paige Peters has been immersed in the world of Agricultural Shows, following in the illustrious footsteps of her grandmother and mother, both accomplished equestrians. Born into a legacy of love for horses and a commitment to the agricultural community, Paige’s journey with the Penrith Show began with a resounding win in the tiny tots category in 2007. This early triumph set the stage for a lifelong dedication to the vibrant world of agricultural exhibitions.

Throughout her school years and into adulthood, Paige’s love for agriculture has only deepened. Beyond the allure of the show ring, she has cultivated a profound understanding and appreciation for the role of agriculture in our lives. Paige stands as a testament to the idea that passion nurtured from childhood can blossom into a lifelong commitment.

Not confined to the saddle, Paige is also a natural songbird. Her melodic talents have opened doors to various opportunities within the Agricultural Show circuit. Annually gracing the Penrith Show with the National Anthem, co-coordinating the Penrith Community Carols by Candlelight, and captivating audiences in the main arena at the Sydney Royal Easter Show from 2019 to 2022, Paige’s voice has become synonymous with the spirit and grandeur of these events.

In her role as the 2023 Penrith Show Young Woman, Paige aspires to be more than a titleholder — she aims to be a role model. Recognizing the importance of mentorship, Paige seeks to inspire the younger generation of women, encouraging them to explore their passions, break barriers, and engage with the rich tapestry of agriculture. Her dedication extends beyond the showgrounds, as she endeavors to promote the significance of agriculture and the show movement within the metropolitan area.

Miss Paige Peters embodies the essence of the Penrith Show — a blend of tradition, talent, and a deep-rooted commitment to the agricultural community. As she embarks on this journey, Paige is poised not only to represent the legacy of her family but also to contribute her own chapter to the story of the Penrith Show.
